Is this normal for mailed taxes? I know in past years when I filed electronically, I heard back within a week, but I have never mailed taxes before.
Thanks. |
I filled out my 2013 tax forms on paper and mailed them by the deadline this year by registered mail. I have not heard anything at all from the IRS since then.===>>>> It is rule of thumb that everything you send to the IRS should be sent via Certified Mail Return Receipt Requested. Because you want to be able to prove that you sent what you say you sent and prove that the IRS has received it. When you mail your return, that reassurance isn't as readily available. It can take up to four weeks for the IRS to receive your return. However, once the IRS receives it, it will post information on its Where's My Refund website as well as on the smartphone app IRS2Go. If you do not see information after 30 days, you may want to call the IRS to verify whether it received your return. I guess you can visit the web site for rnore info in detail in you issue.

Once you efiled your return and when it was accepted your tax return software shows electronic post mark date
