Unhappy 1099a due to forclosure

Year 2014, I had to have my house forclosed on due to loss of job. I recently received a 1099a from the mortgage company. Does this mean i have to file this as income on my taxes. If so, what am i filing, the difference in amount of what the house was valued at and it sold for? Is there any credit for the owner that loss the house?
