Help with Duplicate 1099R's Hi Everyone:
I have a 1099R problem. I received 2 1099R forms from John Hancock when they released funds from my 401K to rollover to my traditional IRA. They release these funds directly to my company and not me. One amount was released mid tax year 2014 and the other the end of 2014. The amount that was released mid year is also being reported by my company on a 1099R. But since I was not fully vested in the 401K the amount my company is reporting is less than Hancock. They are the exact same monies. Only difference is the amount reported by my company is 20% less than the amount reported by Hancock. Is this correct? Do I report all 1099R's on my tax return? What are the ramifications of this? Will it affect my taxable distributions from my traditional IRA when I start pulling out money?
Also, the amount distributed at the end of the year from Hancock to my company was not distributed to me until this tax year 2015. Which means I will get a 1099R from my company for that amount (less 20% for not fully vested) for this tax year. And the full amount is reported tax year 2014 from Hancock. Is this right? Will it affect me in any way?
Thanks in advance!!!
