It is important that you notify your address change to the IRS immediately especially after you have filed your 2007 tax return. This is to ensure that the IRS will be able to correctly mail your tax refund or any tax correspondence.
The IRS suggests that to change your address with the IRS, taxpayers should complete "a Form 8822 (PDF), Address Change Request, and send it to the address shown on the form." Taxpayers can download Form 8822 by clicking on the following link shown below.

Alternatively, taxpayers may write to the IRS and inform them of the new address change. The IRS requires the taxpayers to provide;
1. the taxpayers their full name,
2. the taxpayers old and new addresses,
3. the taxpayers Social Security Number,
4. the taxpayers signature.
Taxpayers should mail this "address change information" to the IRS Service Center where the last tax return was filed.
