I have to file an amended return because I received a corrected W-2 after I filed my returns 3 weeks ago. Can you tell me what I need to attach to both my federal and California amended returns? I know I need to attach the corrected W-2, but I'm confused as to what else I need to attach, especially for the California return. Do I need to attach the original returns to the 1040X and 540X? The 540X says something about attaching a copy of your revised return, and federal if filed. Does that mean I attach a revised 540 and revised 1040 to the 540X? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!
