Can you believe that 600 Connecticut State workers did not file their taxes? The Associated Press has reported that "Connecticut officials say they've cited nearly 600 state employees who didn't file their state income tax returns over the last four years. The workers have been billed nearly $3 million for the back taxes, and tax investigators arrested one employee, who was not convicted." How about that!
Furthermore, "A spokeswoman for the Department of Revenue Services (that is CT Taxation Department) says the agency is not identifying the employees because of confidentiality rules. Spokeswoman Sarah Kaufman says no tax agency employees have ever been cited for back taxes." |
