1099-B/Form 8949, foreign taxes and account fees (3 items) Hi there. I am TRYING to complete my 2017 taxes with Credit Karma Tax right now and I am STUCK! Here is what I need help with...
#1: I believe I DO have to do a Form 8949, but Credit Karma Tax only has space for (and lists) 14 long-term transactions on the Form 8949 and I have 63 in total transactions from 2017! Can I just total up the totals from my five mutual funds and enter that only? Here is WHY I ask this...
- I have 2 different payers for 2017, Raymond James & National Financial Services LLC)
- I have the same 5 different mutual funds for EACH payer (I was transferred FROM NFS LLC TO Raymond James in March, 2017 by my investment advisor)
- I withdrew money monthly in 2017, hence the Form 1099-B, so that would amount to EXACTLY 63 individual transactions (5 funds per month * 12 months, plus a few odd withdrawals beside). This is a scheduled monthly withdrawal to my checking account to pay bills with is why I have so many individual transactions.
#2: Regarding National Financial Services LLC...
I show $6.60 in foreign tax paid from "Various" countries, but I did not see a place to report this on Form 1099-DIV with Credit Karma Tax. What do I do with this? Can I skip this and just forgo the tax credit? It would go on Form 1040, line 48 & I shouldn't need Form 1116, as far as I know?
#3 (and LAST!): I saw this for National Financial Services LLC - what about this?
CASH DEBIT CHARGE @ 7.500% AVG DATE 3/15/17 $ 0.10
TOA DELIVERY FEE ON 3/9/2017 DATE 3/9/17 $100.00
($100.10 TOTAL in account fees)
I believe Raymond James charged me this money, but reversed the charge? I saw NOTHING on my Raymond James statement regarding account fees.
Is this something I would itemize as an expense on Schedule A? If I am going to do the standard, anyway, can I just disregard this item? |
