RMD taxes including other income tax

I will turn 70 ? this year and will take my first RMD. My wife and I also have other taxable income on which up to now we have been paying quarterly estimated taxes. Since the tax due on RMD distributions is deemed as payed equally on each quarter even if it is actually payed at the end of the year, does this mean that we can accumulate all of our taxes otherwise due throughout the year, including that due on the RMD, have the RMD sent to our bank, and pay the entire estimated tax for 2018 on Jan. 15, 2019?

Thank you.
