Resale permit & tax filing change Hello, I'm not sure if anyone will be able to answer my questions on this site though I though I'd ask. I sell on eBay and Amazon and until now I've filed my taxes every year in April using the Schedule C form and claimed all of my sales as income, and used these figures to file my California 540 forms. I don't file any separate forms for sales tax and I don't have a business license. I am now working on making purchases from a wholesale company and was asked for my resale permit number to do so. I've looked into getting a resale permit though that is where things have become a little unclear. I'm not sure if I need to get a business license in order to obtain a resale permit or what is exactly involved in getting one. If anyone has any specific info on what is needed to obtain a resale permit number in California I would appreciate it. Additionally, if I start making non-taxed wholesale purchases can I continue filing my taxes the way I have been or will there be other forms needed to file CA. state sales tax? Will I need to change the time I file or can I continue filing all of my taxes in April like I have been?
Thanks,
