Can a self-employed model deduct invisalign as business expense?

My client is a model who receives 1099 income. She paid $4500 for Invisalign dental correction (removable braces) and would like to deduct the expense as a business expense on her schedule C. She claims that her teeth were shifting and she needed to correct that or her work as a model would have been affected.
Is this an allowable business expense for a model?
