Question nonbusiness travel hotel stay question

I live in Virginia. This summer, I had to stay in a hotel for 2 days because not only did my A/C break, but a skunk got under my home. Two days of intolerable smell. I stayed in a hotel for 2 days. Can I deduct this hotel bill?

No, I am afraid there is no provision in the tax code that will allow a deduction for your cost of the temporary stay in a hotel as a result of your Skunk problem!!
