tax return business deductions Hello,
I did register a business at the end of the year. The business is a nursery - I purchase plants from wholesellers and resell them. The 'nursery' is located in my backyard.
We always did our tax return by ourselves. We did at one time go to a tax prep. specialist with the already prepared tax return for it to just be checked, and he didn't find any bugs, and said that it was done very professionally.
The question I have is: When we prepared our 2009 year tax return we used home business deductions...phone, computer usage, etc. But the majority of my work is outside...I use my shed to overwinter potted plants and store shipping boxes and tools during the warmer months. I also use 1/3 of the my property (land) for a greenhouse and to grow plants. Where (if available) in a tax return do I take deduction for all these expenses?
Thank you |
