The IRS raises the dollar threshold before filing a lien for unpaid taxes!

The IRS is raising the dollar threshold from $5,000 to $10,000 before filing a lien for unpaid taxes. In order to help debtor’s credit ratings, they will withdraw more tax liens once the tax debts are repaid since a withdrawal expunges the lien immediately from their record.

Additionally, they are raising the dollar threshold for small businesses to $25,000 as well as giving them up to 24 months to pay.
