I messed up last years taxes

I messed up last years taxes. Filed jointly, but only entered my income. Did not know this until we just got a letter from the IRS saying we owe thousands of dollars now. Can I refile last years return with the correct info or are we just screwed?

Call the IRS and File an Amended Return

First, call the IRS and explain the situation to them. You can file an amended return for last year's taxes. You will be assessed penalty and interest charges. The most important thing to remember when dealing with the IRS is to communicate with them. Hope this helps.
