“We have a residence in Oregon and in calif ( where we now reside) we have a business license for ore/ wash. Business was done for the state of wash. What address do we use?”================Are you a full time resident of OR or CA???? You can’t be a full year resident for both CA and OR at the same time. For example, as long as you are a full year resident of OR then you must be a nonresident of CA(or part time resident of CA and OR if you moved into CA form OR during the year). Anyway, if your home state is OR, then you need to report your biz income that you earned in WA and OR to OR as there is no income tax in WA. If you are a full time resident of CA, then y need to report your biz income that you earned in OR/WA to CA; as long as you pay tax on biz income to OR then you can deduct it on your CA return as a full year resident of CA by claiming state tax credit. Mena as there is NO reciprocal agreement between OR and WA or CA , if you earn biz income in WA , then you need to repot it to OR as long as you are a full year resident of OR or CA as long as you are a full year resident of CA. If you are a full year resident of OR and nonresident of CA, then you do not need to report your biz income incurred in WA to CA but only to OR.
“ Also does this need to be entered onto calif state taxes even though we only resided there? If we use the ore address, will we have to submit an Oregon state tax form?”========No; ass said above UNLESS you are a full year resident of CA, you do not need to report your biz income that you earn in WA to CA.HOWEVER, as long as you are a full year resident of OR then you must report your biz income that you earn in WA to OR. |
