Expenses for Adult Parent Dependents

I can claim both of my parents on my income taxes. Although they do not live with me, I provide 75% of their support including medical bills, utilities, travel, insurance and mortgage (in their name). What can I itemize and claim on my tax return?

You can’t claim utilities/travel for personal reason/home insurance. ALSO UNLESS you are the primary borrower, you are legally obligated to pay the mortgage , however, you cannot deduct the mortgage interest unless you co-signed the loan. I mean UNLESS you are liable for the mortgage loan, you can’t deduct it .Your mother can deduct it on her return as long as she files her return as your dependent.
