C Corp and home office dilema My husband and I run our business out of our house, but know that he is becoming more profitable taxes were getting bigger, we always used the home office deduction. So we incorporated as a C Corp and I am going to place the lease and all utilities in the C Corp name. I would like to use the whole house as office because we just work and sleep, its barely a home.
So I am wondering if it is better to by pass the home office deduction , let Corporation have the lease for the business
1. have the C Corp rent the property back to us for living space
2. call the leased property all business and rent a small apt and call it home,
even though we will still occupy the home
3. or have the C Corp pay all expenses and say its for the company interest that we live where we work
Home office deduction seems like I am getting ripped off considering we work 15 hrs a day
