as she turned 19 (if she is not a full time college student), she no longer qualifis as your dependent child. You may claim her as a qualifying relative if she lived with you and if you provided more than half his financial support; however, if she made over $3,800 during the tax year, you may not claim her.
If she made less than $3800 for the year of 2013 and you are qualified to claim her, then she can fill out her tax return without claiming herself.as a personal exemption. On the tax form it will ask her if someone else is able to claim her as a dependent. she should check "yes".she cannot claim herself if you claim her and you can't claim her if she decides to take the personal exemption on her own taxes.ALSO,You can claim a 19-year-old child as a dependent if the child suffers from a permanent and total disability. To qualify, the disability must prevent the child from engaging in any substantial gainful activity. A qualified doctor’s diagnosis must expect the disability to last for at least one year.
